Heart Care at New Hanover Regional Medical Center

Wilmington and most of the Lower Cape Fear Region is geographically isolated. It is important to remember that for medical problems that are not an emergency, you do have a choice to get your care at a hospital that provides excellent care. It is not easy, the two hospitals closest to us are UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill and Duke Hospital in Durham. This means a three hour drive which can be daunting. That said it may well be worth the effort.
